The Situation
Global IP traffic will increase threefold over the next 5 years

Annual global IP traffic will reach 396 exabytes per month

The number of devices connected to the internet is expected to double in the same time

Exabytes per Month
Billions of Devices

The Problem
Access to high speed broadband connectivity is limited by poor last mile connections

1B+ people rely on outdated last mile infrastructure

Fiber to home is cost-prohibitive and slow to deploy

The Solution
Terragraph is a technology that operates on 60 GHz unlicensed band delivering fiber-like speeds.
In markets where fiber access to consumers is cost prohibitive and slow to deploy due to factors such as permitting, trenching etc., Terragraph can be a better alternative to provide fiber-like connectivity at a significantly lower cost. It’s also much faster to deploy and can be brought to market in a matter of weeks.

Easy Deployment Terragraph is faster to deploy than any wireline service because it mounts on existing Street Furniture and does note require costly Right of Way Permissions. Terragraph network can be easily scaled as demand grows greatly reducing the upfront investment needed. Terragraph deploys a multi-node mesh network, allowing for built in signal re-rerouting to ensure high availability and reliability.

Building the Future of Wireless Connectivity
Terragraph is able to deliver fiber-like speeds at a fraction of the cost of deploying new fiber infrastructure.

Connectivity is a Complex Problem. One we can't solve alone.

With Terragraph, we are focused on building a robust and collaborative ecosystem of chipset vendors, manufacturers and service providers.

Common Networks Deploys First Commercial Network in Alameda, California
Once the distribution network had been deployed, the ~106 homes within its coverage area were then eligible for high speed fixed wireless access. The goal of the installation was to provide coverage to the entire small town about 0.4 sq km in size.
Terragraph arrives in Mikebuda, Hungary
To help evaluate Terragraph as a solution for high speed fixed broadband connectivity, Deutsche Telekom and its subsidiary Magyar Telekom - the largest Hungarian telecommunications firm - conducted trials in Hungary, using the technology to connect homes that had only copper/DSL for broadband formerly

Global Mission
Terragraph is a part of Facebook Connectivity

Together with hundreds of partners across dozens of countries, Facebook is working to bring people online to a faster internet.
